The Building and Environmental Administration is looking for an experienced economist who sees opportunities and wants to be part of our development journey.

Welcome to the support and development unit! As an experienced economist, you will be part of our administration-wide support where we work together on business development, communication, finance, administration, digitization, and system development. The unit also includes secretaries for the Environmental Committee and the Building Committee, as well as energy and climate advisors. Together, our unit is an important guarantee for legally secure and efficient administration. The support and development unit is the engine that drives new initiatives, raises the quality of our working methods, and creates better conditions for the entire administration. We also manage practical functions such as cafeteria, vehicles, and contact with property owners and cleaning services – all to create a cohesive functioning whole.

Your tasks
As an economist, you will be responsible for planning, monitoring, and developing the administration's finances. You will play an active role in business planning and follow-up related to your area of responsibility and conduct analyses in collaboration with the administration's other support functions. You will prepare financial materials and reports for the committees and act as an advisor to managers and the management team. The position also includes responsibility for procurement and purchasing. You will be the administration's purchasing representative and participate in purchasing networks. You will be part of the administration's management team and represent the administration in the municipality's councils and networks regarding finance, procurement, and purchasing.

- Forecasting and analysis work

- Annual financial report
- Responsible for procurement and purchasing
- Work with appropriate fees
Your qualifications
Competencies
- University or college degree in economics
- Good understanding of municipal governance, budget processes, and follow-up
- Experience working in finance within public administration
- Experience working in a management team
- Experience working at a strategic level and close to operations
Analytical and strategic ability
- Strong analytical skills and experience working with complex financial data
- Ability to translate data and analyses into clear decision-making materials for managers and operations
- Experience working with benefit realization related to digitization and business development
