Personal Assistant Wanted

Sanda Assistans was founded in Sandared by our CEO Betty Olsson. We have grown a bit over the years, but the heart remains in the right place. The foundation of our vision is that "everyone is equally different and different alike," and therefore the right matching of assistants is required. We are looking for someone who wants to make a difference in another person's daily life.

As a person, you are responsible, honest, and solution-oriented. The assignment requires that you are service-minded and flexible, as well as having the ability to meet the customer in a good way. With us at Sanda Assistans, you get the chance to truly help others and create a meaningful daily life for people in need of support. We believe that well-being and a good working environment create the best conditions for everyone. Therefore, we constantly work to ensure that you have a positive working environment where you can feel proud of your job and your contributions. Of course, we have collective agreements, etc.

About the Job

I am a 31-year-old man looking for a new personal assistant for my wonderful assistant group, as one of my assistants is going on parental leave. I have autism and a developmental disorder and need support in many areas of my daily life.

The most important thing for me is that you are a calm, secure, and caring person and that you see this as a long-term job, so we can build a stable and trusting relationship. I find it difficult to take in new people in my life, so continuity means a lot to me.

I go to daily activities two days a week, and you as an assistant will accompany me there. Your task includes motivating me to start, carry out, and finish activities, as well as being structured and supportive in everyday life. I am a kind and caring person who needs to be met with respect, clarity, and kindness.

I enjoy being outdoors and take long walks every day, sometimes several, so you need to have good stamina. Humor is also important to me – people who are easy to laugh and can be warm and relaxed make me feel good.

My energy varies from day to day. Some days I can do more, others less. Therefore, you need to appreciate a calm and quiet pace at times and understand that adaptation is part of the job.

I am looking for someone who:

  • Has experience in personal assistance or another supportive role
  • Has knowledge of autism and understands the importance of adapted responses
  • Can take both verbal and written instructions and carry them out
  • Is proactive but follows my pace and routines
  • Is clear, structured, and solution-oriented
  • Is kind, caring, and has a genuine commitment to helping others
  • You must be fluent in Swedish, both spoken and written, as I have difficulty understanding unclear speech
  • Is smoke-free, as I am very sensitive to smoke

Working Hours:

Daytime: 07:00–18:00
Evening: 15:00–21:00
Weekend: 18:00–18:00 (24-hour shifts with sleeping duty)

It is important that you can be flexible and step in for extra shifts when needed, for example, in case of illness or leave in the group.
