JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a social worker, you will be part of a unit that is highly engaged in the children, youth, and families we work with. You will handle cases according to the Social Services Act (SoL) and the Care of Young Persons Act (LVU) and follow up on children placed outside their own homes. In this position, you are responsible for driving cases forward and ensuring that current legislation and procedures are followed. You will investigate, analyze, present proposals for decisions/make decisions, and follow up.

You will be part of a team consisting of social workers, social assistants, and a unit manager. In the group, there is good cohesion, a positive atmosphere, and mutual support. We have access to municipal lawyers for legal guidance. Collaboration also occurs with open care, where therapists, field workers, family centers, and housing support staff are available.

QUALIFICATIONS

• To work with children and youth in social services, a degree in social work or education in accordance with the National Board of Health and Welfare's qualification regulations is required.
• We are therefore looking for you who are a trained social worker and have at least two years of work experience. Experience in assessments, investigations, and follow-ups of support measures according to SoL and LVU for children and youth is an advantage.
• You need to have a good ability to express yourself in speech and writing as documentation is an important part of our work.
• A valid driver’s license (B) is a requirement.
