Part-time/Summer Substitute Wanted – Personal Assistant with Humor and Heart

We are now looking for a part-time substitute who wants to be part of our team supporting a 30-year-old man with autism living in central Jönköping. If you have experience working with individuals with autism, or if you have previously worked as a personal assistant and enjoy working in a motivating and low-arousal manner, this could be a great opportunity for you.

About the Assignment

The client lives in his own apartment and needs support in his daily life. The work includes personal care, daily routines, household chores, and cooking. You will also support him in activities he enjoys – such as listening to music, working on his iPad, or taking a train trip occasionally. Routines are important, but there is also room for coming up with ideas and helping him find activities that provide energy and well-being.

Who We Are Looking For

We are looking for someone who is empathetic, responsible, and self-assured. You can see what needs to be done and take initiative when necessary. It is important that you are used to working in a motivating way and that you are calm and clear in your interactions. Experience in personal assistance or similar work in healthcare is required, and it is advantageous if you have knowledge of autism and low-arousal approaches. You need to be smoke-free, and a driver's license is desirable but not mandatory. Since communication and documentation are important parts of the assignment, you must be able to express yourself well in Swedish, both verbally and in writing.

You will receive an introduction and the opportunity to shadow an experienced assistant. The working hours mainly consist of day shifts with waiting time and weekends as needed. Start date is immediate or as agreed.
