Description

As a Mechanical Integrity Engineer, you will be part of a specialist team working on mechanical lifetime analysis of turbine components. You will contribute to development projects by analyzing and assessing how components are stressed and age over time. The work is carried out in close collaboration with other technical functions and is characterized by analytical work, technical depth, and continuous method development. The role is primarily based in Finspång, with the possibility of some remote work.

Responsibilities
  • Perform strength and lifetime analyses of turbine components

  • Work with finite element analyses and other numerical calculation methods

  • Collect and analyze data in collaboration with cross-functional teams

  • Support development projects by planning and executing necessary lifing work

  • Contribute to the development and improvement of methods and practices within lifing and mechanical integrity

  • Document analyses, calculations, and technical conclusions

  • Work independently with responsibility for your own deliveries while being an active part of the team

Qualifications
  • Master's or Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field

  • Experience in strength analysis and a good understanding of underlying mechanical principles

  • Experience working with numerical calculation methods, such as finite element analyses

  • Excellent command of English, both spoken and written

  • Ability to work independently and take responsibility for your analyses

Desirable qualifications
  • Experience with tools such as ABAQUS, HyperWorks, and/or NASGRO

  • Previous work in lifetime analysis or mechanical integrity

  • Experience from development projects in an industrial environment
