Property Manager at the Swedish Prison and Probation Service

The Swedish Prison and Probation Service is growing – we are building new facilities, renovating, and expanding, and we are now looking for more employees. We are the authority responsible for prisons, probation, remand facilities, and client transport.

The Property Department's main task is to ensure the authority's need for local supply. The Southern Property Management Section will, in dialogue with relevant operations and regions, identify existing property needs and, in collaboration with property owners, ensure that these needs are met. The Southern Property Management Section is responsible for the unit's property management in the West, East, and South regions.

JOB DESCRIPTION

In the role of Property Manager, the head of the Southern Property Management Section is your immediate supervisor, and you will be part of a team covering the East, West, and South regions. The employment pertains to the East region with the workplace located in Linköping. Your overall tasks are to support the region and operations in local and property-related issues and ensure that their leased premises are functional and support the activities conducted within them.

You are responsible for a geographical area while also potentially receiving national assignments related to the Property Department's tasks. Together with your colleagues, immediate supervisor, and the authority's experts, you will work on developing issues related to property management and local supply. Your tasks also include participating in the development and updating of a management plan and creating conditions for good collaboration with property owners. You will plan, drive, and follow up on actions, decisions, and plans concerning property management within your area of responsibility. You will also be involved in creating structured processes regarding operations, maintenance, and repairs. The position involves some travel within Sweden.

We are looking for someone who has:

• A university degree with a relevant focus or other education combined with experience deemed relevant by the Swedish Prison and Probation Service
• Experience working with property management-related tasks including technology, law, and economics
• Experience leading others in work
• Experience working with a focus on collaboration, relationship building, and partnership development
• Good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish
• Good computer skills
• Driving license B

It is meritorious if you have:

• The Swedish Prison and Probation Service's basic training
• Training as a property manager/diploma in property management
• University education or vocational training with a focus on property economics with/without law
• Experience in property management within the public sector
• Experience in operational work within the prison and probation service
• Experience in local and property projects, ordering work, economics, invoice management, and the establishment of maintenance plans
