Specialist in Business Analysis

The Swedish Prison and Probation Service is growing – we are building new facilities, renovating, and expanding, and we are now looking for more employees. We are the authority responsible for prisons, probation, remand, and client transport.

The section is placed under the Department for Prison, Remand, and Probation/Capacity Unit. The section started in the autumn of 2021 and is responsible for developing and managing staffing and scheduling processes within the authority. The section is divided into two groups where we work with support, training, and quality monitoring for regional coordinated staffing, local operations, and the Transport Department, as well as supporting local operations with scheduling and business analyses.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The group you will be part of works on producing statistics in the form of reports including analysis at local, regional, and national levels, support in building schedules, and quality reviews, as well as support to operations in their work with business analyses, which is an important part of the collaboration with other departments within the authority. The group also assists with testing in Heroma together with the section for digitalization and management.

In the role of Specialist, you will work in the areas of business analysis where you support experts, at regional and local levels, ensure quality in schedules before negotiations, provide schedule proposals to operations based on staffing goals, create staffing forecasts, follow-up reports, and quality work, as well as build up working methods and processes together with other colleagues within the section. Since there is some development work involved based on working methods, processes, and statistics, we collaborate with other departments within the headquarters where you need to be involved in driving assignments.

We are looking for someone who has:

• Post-secondary education in economics, logistics, or HR, or other education combined with experience that the Swedish Prison and Probation Service deems relevant
• Experience in strategic staffing work
• Experience in creating reports and conducting follow-ups
• Experience with personnel and staffing systems
• Experience in schedule building
• Knowledge of relevant laws & agreements (labor law, working time regulations, policies, etc.)
• Good Excel skills
• Ability to express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish

It is meritorious if you have:

• Experience in analyzing complex data
• Experience working in the personnel system Heroma
• Experience in coordination/organization
