Do you want to work with digital maps and geographic information?

With us, you will work at the core of the Swedish flight briefing service, where safety, digitalization, and innovation meet.

There is now an opportunity to become part of our team after a colleague has chosen to move on to new challenges. We are looking for a Cartographer Engineer who wants to develop with us.

Your future role

As the world becomes more digital, the needs within the aviation industry are also changing. As a cartographer engineer at LFV, you play an important role in Swedish aviation by ensuring that geographic information and flight data are handled correctly, updated efficiently, and presented clearly. You work at the heart of our digital production where maps and geographic data form the basis for publications aimed at pilots and other airspace users, both in manned and unmanned aviation.

In your daily work, you will:

  • Work with geographic databases and GIS applications.
  • Create, maintain, and develop high-precision map products according to international standards.
  • Structure and visualize flight data so that it can be used in our digital systems and publications.
  • Participate in the work of verifying, validating, processing, and publishing parts of the flight information that LFV is responsible for.
  • Communicate with both Swedish and international partners.

We also hope that you will help develop our work methods, processes, and tools to create an even more efficient and quality-assured flight information service.

Who are you?

You enjoy creating graphic products, preferably maps, but have the ability to adhere to rules and frameworks as we operate in an industry with a strong focus on flight safety. Furthermore, you are a team player who is communicative, open, curious, and unpretentious with good collaboration skills. You are proactive and have a desire to drive the business, yourself, and the team towards new goals. You work effectively, structured, and are meticulous while being risk-aware and responsible.

You also have:

  • An academic degree with a focus on media technology, computer engineering, or information technology. Alternatively, another education that we assess as equivalent.
  • Experience with GIS tools.
  • Very good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish and English.
  • Knowledge of databases and programming is an advantage.

Other information

The position is a permanent employment located in Norrköping. We may apply a probationary period of 6 months. The role requires a high presence in the office.

Before employment, we will conduct a security review that includes a background check, security interview, and drug test.

We value diversity and believe that different perspectives make us better. Our recruitment process is competence-based, ensuring that all candidates are treated equally and fairly.
