Your Role

Within the development of Electro-Optical Systems, we are looking for a developer and systems engineer who will work with the integration of electro-optical sensors on Gripen (EO/IR, laser). Development takes place in close collaboration with our international partners and subcontractors, where we have overall responsibility from initial requirements to verification testing in flight trials.

Main tasks include:

• Development of system & SW design
• Development of aircraft software for sensor integration
• Conducting system and software verification

Your Profile

You have a genuine interest in technology and software and enjoy working in a team. To thrive with us, we want you to be driven and motivated to develop within our technical field.

We are looking for someone who has:

• A Master's degree in e.g. engineering physics, computer engineering or aerospace engineering.
• Experience in software development, knowledge of C++
• Enjoys working meticulously and systematically
• Is proactive and independently gathers the information needed to solve the task

It is advantageous if you have:

• Experience working with optics and sensors
• Experience in leadership roles, e.g. team leader
• Experience from the defense industry or armed forces

The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to applicable security protection regulations. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may, in certain cases, entail requirements for specific citizenship.
