Your Role

In the section for testing basic aircraft systems, part of the Flight Testing area, we are now looking for additional Test Engineers who want to work with testing Gripen and other flying vehicles!

As a flight test engineer, you will work with test-related issues in project form, all the way from the development phase to the final verified and validated product. We conduct testing of Gripen in a variety of test stations such as hardware rigs, simulators, and aircraft. The role combines theory and practical close work with our aircraft.

Your main tasks include:

• Developing and preparing test methodologies and test programs
• Leading tests within your development team
• Analyzing and evaluating test results
• Conducting troubleshooting and problem-solving in the systems of the aircraft and rigs.

Your Profile

Requirements:

• Master's degree or bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• Ability to express yourself well in English, both written and spoken, as documentation is primarily in English.

Experience in flight technical testing and system development is an advantage. Experience with Python, Matlab, or similar tools is also advantageous as data processing is a central part of the work.

The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to the applicable regulations for security protection. For the position, Saab has requirements for security classification and Swedish citizenship.
