As a Validation Engineer, you play a key role in verifying and validating our advanced electronic systems within Active Safety.

In this role, you contribute to ensuring a robust system and product architecture at all levels – system, hardware, software, and testing. You analyze requirements, prepare tests, monitor test execution, and report test results to both internal and external customers.

You work both independently and in close collaboration with our teams in system, hardware, and software development as well as testing to plan, execute, and document validation tests according to Magna's processes and quality standards.

You will also be an important part of the team's competence development and knowledge sharing within the organization. You identify and manage risks within the validation area and take a proactive role in solving technical challenges to ensure successful product delivery.

Your main responsibilities include:

  • Plan, document, and execute validation tests in accordance with internal and customer requirements
  • Contribute to system and product architecture and design at all levels (SYS, HW, SW, TEST)
  • Identify and manage risks within the validation process
  • Report and escalate technical issues to relevant forums or management
  • Support competence development and promote knowledge sharing within the team
  • Take initiative to find and share information, contribute your experiences, and participate in reflection and activities that advance work and development

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a proactive and solution-oriented approach who enjoys taking responsibility and driving work forward. You are structured, meticulous, and communicate clearly.

You easily build strong relationships across teams and technical areas and appreciate working in a dynamic and global environment where change is a natural part of everyday life. You adapt quickly to new conditions and technical challenges.

To succeed in this role, we prefer that you have:

  • A master's degree (or equivalent) in systems engineering, electronics, computer science, or a similar technical field
  • Experience in testing and validating advanced embedded systems
  • The ability to plan, coordinate, and follow up on projects and technical activities
  • Fluent Swedish and English, with a good ability to convey information clearly and structured

We value your potential and willingness to develop – you do not need to meet all the requirements in the ad.
