Legal Officer at the Swedish Agency for Health and Care Analysis

Do you want to work at an independent analysis authority where engaged employees are the most important resource? The Swedish Agency for Health and Care Analysis is tasked with monitoring and analyzing healthcare, dental care, and social services from a patient, user, and citizen perspective. We are now expanding our operations and are looking for one or more legal officers.

Do you want to use your legal expertise in a socially important mission and contribute to legal certainty in analyses that strengthen care and services? If so, this is the position for you. The Legal Secretariat is the agency's support and governance function for legal matters.

About the role

As a legal officer, you will collaborate within the group, with other support functions, and with the agency's other departments to provide legal guidance and support. The work has a broad legal focus and includes, among other things, administrative law issues, public access and confidentiality issues, data protection, IT law, intellectual property law, procurement and contracts, healthcare law, and social law. The work also includes developing governance and support documents, conducting training, and participating as an expert in various analysis projects.

Depending on competence, experience, and interest, there may be a focus on certain areas of law or tasks.

We are looking for someone who has:

  • law degree (jur.kand./juristexamen) (180/270 credits).
  • at least five years of current, documented, and relevant experience from independently qualified legal work in a government agency or public sector.
  • good knowledge of administrative law, public access and confidentiality, and data protection issues.
  • notary qualification or equivalent professional experience from a court.
  • very good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written.

Meritorious:

  • experience in investigative or analytical work, for example at an analysis authority, government investigation, or the Government Offices.
  • current experience in one or more of the following areas of law: healthcare law, social law, IT law, information security, procurement, contract law, register legislation.

As a person, you are driven, development-oriented, and able to work independently and results-oriented. You are meticulous and structured with a good ability to coordinate and drive work forward. You are flexible, responsive, and find it easy to collaborate with others.

As a lawyer, you are confident in your professional practice and used to coming up with solutions based on the needs, roles, and assignments of the organization. You have an interest and aptitude for working cross-sectorally and enjoy working consultatively.

Your workplace is at the agency's office in central Stockholm. We offer the opportunity for regular remote work up to two days a week.

The position is full-time and is a fixed-term employment for 12 months. Start date by agreement.

Organizationally, you will report to the chief legal officer at the agency's legal secretariat.
