Your Responsibilities
The Prosecution Authority is looking for someone who wants a central role in crime prevention. As a prosecutor, you will use the law in theory and practice with significant personal responsibility and in collaboration with others.
As a prosecutor trainee, you will work with all aspects of criminal cases at a public prosecution office. You will lead preliminary investigations, make decisions on prosecution matters, and litigate in court.

Your Qualities and Qualifications
We are looking for a Swedish citizen with a Nordic law degree. Upon appointment as a prosecutor trainee, you must also be certified as a notary from a district or administrative court.
As a person, we want you to:
- have a strong interest in criminal and procedural law
- be legally skilled
- have the ability to collaborate and lead others
- be driven, able to organize and prioritize your work, and make independent decisions
- be stable and have good judgment
- have good analytical skills and critical thinking ability
- have good communication skills.
We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
It is an advantage if you have experience of relevant qualified legal work in addition to your notary certification.
Admission Procedure
During your time as a prosecutor trainee, you will have a fixed-term employment of 9-12 months. This will be followed by a permanent position.
The position is located at one of Stockholm's four public prosecution offices. If you proceed in the recruitment process, you will have the opportunity to express your preferences for which office you would prefer to be placed at upon employment.
Before an employment offer, the Prosecution Authority may conduct a background check in the suspect register and the criminal record. The background check will be conducted on the final candidate.
Tests may occur during the recruitment process.
Interviews are expected to be conducted during weeks 8-11.
The Prosecution Authority is a preparedness authority. Upon employment, you may be assigned to the Prosecution Authority in case of war. Read more under Work with us.
