The Department of Labor Market and Adult Education is responsible for the municipality's labor market measures, daily activities, adult education, and issues related to higher education, such as vocational training and other post-secondary education. Our goal is to provide the residents of Botkyrka with good conditions to enter studies, work, and employment. We are 330 employees working to enable more citizens to achieve self-sufficiency.

The Position and Responsibilities

We are looking for a driven and committed Labor Market Coach for our unit Receive and Guide, which consists of START, Arena, and Employment SoL.

Our common mission is to strengthen the opportunities for residents to establish themselves in the labor market or start studies through guiding and motivating interventions. We collaborate broadly with both public actors and the private sector.

Your role will specifically be within START, a central initiative aimed at providing individualized support for job seekers aged 18–35 with mild intellectual disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, or acquired brain injuries in adulthood. The work is based on the successful method of Supported Employment and is funded by Botkyrka Municipality and the Coordination Association. A central part of your work will be to actively collaborate with the municipality, the Employment Service, the Social Insurance Agency, and the regional health care system to provide the best possible support to our participants.

As a Labor Market Coach, you will:

• Guide and support individuals towards work or studies through mapping and targeted interventions, both individually and in groups
• Establish and follow up on action plans with clear goals for each participant
• Provide support to both participants and employers to facilitate successful establishments
• Build and maintain relationships with workplaces, schools, social services, the Employment Service, the Social Insurance Agency, and establish new contacts with private companies and non-profit organizations
• Ensure that the assignment meets established goals and purposes within given frameworks
• Document and assist with other tasks related to the unit.

The primary workplace is Tumba/Botkyrka, but your role may also involve travel within the relevant municipalities.

Who You Are

You have an academic degree in behavioral science, sociology, or another relevant higher education/university education that we assess as equivalent.

Other Requirements for the Position:

• Experience in building strong relationships and adapting your working methods based on the individual's conditions, including cultural background, language, age, disabilities, and socioeconomic circumstances.
• Experience with the Swedish education system, the dynamics of the labor market, and labor market issues such as skills supply and unemployment.

Meritorious:

• Training in Motivational Interviewing (MI)
• Training in Supported Employment (SE)
