We are looking for a summer substitute for full-time/part-time work at our LSS accommodation in Flygfors.

The accommodation is aimed at children and young people belonging to group 1, young adults aged 14-19 with intellectual disabilities, autism, or autism-like conditions.

The accommodation is located in Flygsfors in Nybro municipality, with a large garden featuring fruit trees, a lawn, flowers, and a spacious outdoor area. Nearby, there are green areas and forests providing opportunities for both play and walking.

As a support pedagogue, you will implement working methods and approaches in the operation. Your tasks include building relationships, supporting, guiding, and assisting the users in various everyday situations, maintaining social contacts and relationships.

All support measures, e.g., activities, cleaning, laundry, food, personal support, and physical care, are based on the individual needs and wishes of the users in accordance with LSS legislation.

The work should promote independence, participation, and be carried out with respect for the user's integrity and self-determination. You will work systematically with social documentation. You will collaborate with your colleagues and other stakeholders and work with the users based on their implementation plans and action plans that you develop together with the users.

You will participate in finding solutions and methods that develop the work. You will work to enhance the pedagogical approach that supports each individual's participation and self-determination. The role also includes handling medications.

The position includes day, evening, and weekend shifts.

Qualifications

You should have experience in pedagogical work and with the target group, structured work with clarifying pedagogy, knowledge of various disabilities, and alternative communication methods.

You are expected to work in a low-affect manner and adapt your approach based on the client's needs and issues. You will work with a solution-focused approach and need to handle unforeseen events calmly and safely.

It is an advantage if you have knowledge of psychiatric diagnoses.
