Personal assistance is an intervention according to LSS (the Act concerning Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments). As a personal assistant, you provide individual support and care to individuals who have been granted personal assistance because they need help with one or more basic needs. Each client is unique, and your tasks will vary based on the client's needs. You respect the client's self-determination and privacy, contributing to a smooth daily life.

About the position

The role of a personal assistant places high demands on the ability to create good relationships. Therefore, we are looking for someone who is attentive, engaged, and responsible. It is also important that you can take initiative and see what needs to be done. We are now looking for a personal assistant to work with a young man in his early 20s who requires assistance due to a muscle disease. The young man lives with his sister in a house in Hultsfred.

As a personal assistant to this young man, you will primarily assist with training and activities, but also where functional variations set limits, such as helping with personal hygiene, dressing and undressing, as well as meal situations and household chores. The young man moves around in a wheelchair and needs help with transfers and support during various tasks. Cooking and being a helping hand during meals are also part of your job.

We are looking for someone who meets the following criteria:

• Organized, responsible, and easy to collaborate with colleagues and others in the environment.
• Good knowledge of Swedish.
• Has a driver's license.
• You are confident, positive, inspire those around you, have a twinkle in your eye, and a bit of humor!

It is also advantageous if you:

• Have experience in similar work.
• Are interested in rehabilitation exercises, training, and activities.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

Working hours, employment rate, and salary:

The position is a fixed schedule at 50%, but you are welcome to support during planned and unplanned absences in the group. The hours are Monday to Friday from 16:00 to 20:00, primarily allocated for training and activities in various forms. Assistance is also provided during both day and evening hours.

Fixed hourly wage according to agreement and other compensations are in accordance with collective agreements.

Start date

Immediately according to agreement.

Being employed at Humana

A prerequisite for starting employment with us at Humana is that you can present valid ID and any documents that support your right to work in Sweden. To work as a personal assistant, you must be at least 18 years old.
