We are now looking for substitute staff for two of our Nytida operations: Solängen Training Residence in Öland and Vassmolösa Children and Youth Residence.We offer training and a developing job where you can make a difference!

Solängen Training Residence

Solängen Training Residence is located just south of Färjestaden and is an LSS residence aimed at young people aged 15-21 who have a diagnosis within the autism spectrum. Solängen Training Residence is situated in a beautiful environment with access to its own pool and proximity to a private beach. Solängen Training Residence consists of twelve apartments located adjacent to a building with communal areas.

We work individually based on Nytida's framework for pedagogy (read more here (https://nytida.se/sa-jobbar-vi/nytidas-pedagogiska-ramverk/)) which is based on low-arousal responses, clarifying pedagogy, and alternative and augmentative communication (AAC). The working method is individualized to ensure that each young person has the best conditions for quality of life, participation, self-determination, and meaningfulness. With calm, security, and structure, we support the young person to use their strengths and embrace their interests.

We are a smaller team that works closely together, where collaboration among colleagues is the foundation.

Vassmolösa Children and Youth Residence

Vassmolösa is an LSS residence aimed at young people aged 13-18 (or as long as the young person is in school) who have a diagnosis within the autism spectrum and/or intellectual disabilities.

We work individually based on Nytida's framework for pedagogy which is based on low-arousal responses, clarifying pedagogy, and alternative and augmentative communication (AAC).

We support the young person, step by step, towards becoming increasingly independent, as preparation for adult life. We base our implementation plan on the young person's needs, strengths, and interests. In all operations, we consider the young person's right to participation and independence based on their abilities.

The residence is located 23 kilometers south of Kalmar in a village called Kvarnlyckan. Here, there is close proximity to beautiful nature, walking trails, the sea, and swimming spots. The nearest bus stop is 2.3 kilometers from the residence, and it takes 30 minutes to Kalmar by public transport. With a short drive, you can reach various leisure activities available in the area, such as bowling, swimming pools, cinemas, skate parks, playgrounds, ice rinks, libraries, and more.

About the role In the role of residential support worker, you will focus on the individual needs and wishes of the residents and provide support in daily life based on a pedagogical approach. Together with other staff, you will work towards making the day meaningful and enriching. An important part of the job is to stimulate and motivate the resident to develop their abilities and create opportunities for an active and meaningful leisure time. Your tasks also include documenting and planning based on implementation plans. Working hours are scheduled during the day, evenings, weekends, awake nights, and sleeping on-call.

Your experience and knowledge You who are applying should have at least a high school education in healthcare and social services, social work, pedagogy, or other equivalent education. Experience working with the target group is an advantage.

You have good knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written form, good computer skills, and experience with documentation. You have a B driver's license. Experience working with the target group is an advantage.

You have a positive outlook, a strong commitment to people, and are responsible. You enjoy working in a team and supporting your colleagues, always keeping our youth's best interests in mind in everything you do.
