Strategist for the Quality and Follow-up Unit

Stockholm – our capital city with millions of dreams, expectations, and ambitions. We work for everyone living here today and in the future. Now we are looking for you who want to think big, new, and differently with us – for the people of Stockholm.

The Preschool Administration is a young administration with extensive collective knowledge and competence that builds the future. Tens of thousands of children attend preschools in Stockholm. Their everyday lives and their future are our mission. We strive for the best possible preschool experience and therefore maintain contact with all those who operate preschools in Stockholm's eleven districts – whether they are municipal or privately operated.

We have nearly 80 employees working in many different areas of expertise such as supervision and licensing, law, economics, and development in all areas of preschool. We offer a workplace with great commitment and good opportunities to influence your work. Our office is located on Kaplansbacken in Kungsholmen.

The Department for City-wide Development is growing, and we are now looking for two strategists for the Quality and Follow-up Unit.

Welcome to us

The Department for City-wide Development is responsible for leading and coordinating city-wide and systematic quality work based on the city’s budget documents and identified development needs. The department supports the quality work of the district administrations to create increased equity in education and teaching in the city's preschools. We consist of two units, the Quality and Follow-up Unit and the Research and Development Unit, as well as department-wide resources in the form of administrators, strategists, and lawyers who support the department as a whole. Our responsibility includes both operational development and competence development. The Quality and Follow-up Unit currently consists of four employees and has a strong focus on developing and following up on the city-wide systematic quality work. Within the department, we are also responsible for networks and forums for development that are based on close cooperation with both district administrations, professional administrations, and external actors. The Preschool Administration has three additional departments;

  • Authority Department

  • Department for Management Support and IT

At the Preschool Administration, we collaborate between departments to ensure that our work provides the best possible service and development to all preschools in Stockholm.

The assignment also requires close cooperation with district administrations and other professional administrations through working groups, reference groups, and operational dialogues that you either lead or actively participate in.

You are resilient, meaning you are stable and remain motivated and effective even in the face of setbacks or obstacles until results are achieved and have strategies for recovery. You have good communication skills, which means you are clear, adapt to the recipient and situation, and are comfortable speaking in front of a group.

In this recruitment, we place great emphasis on the above-mentioned competencies, personal suitability, and commitment to the position.
