We are now looking for a social worker for Individual and Family Care with associated functional support. The organization consists of several units such as Adult Unit, Children and Youth, Open Care, Integration and Labor Market Unit, and Functional Support. Each unit is led by a unit manager with an overarching operations manager.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We offer a developing and inspiring job where decision-making paths are short, and where you have a great opportunity to influence as the social services are undergoing a transformation regarding the new Social Services Act.

Your affiliation will be with the adult unit where 6 caseworkers work. In this workgroup, in addition to your upcoming tasks, assistance cases such as LSS, home care, and social psychiatry are handled. You will receive close supervision with case guidance every week. Your tasks will include investigating and processing cases focusing on harmful use and dependency, gambling addiction according to SoL and LVM. You will also be responsible for assessment, planning, and follow-up. The work requires that you can work independently and find individual solutions.

The position also includes working with perpetrators of violence, where the work largely involves motivating perpetrators to accept support and treatment to stop the violence. An important part of the job is documentation but also collaboration with colleagues within the department and other authorities.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Degree in Social Work.

The target group is adults with dependency issues, often co-occurring disorders, and perpetrators of violence. It is advantageous if you have previously worked with both LVM and LVU legislation as well as experience working with structured investigation and evaluation instruments such as ASI.

Important qualities are that you have professional personal maturity. You have the ability to maintain integrity but also dare to get close to people in their descriptions of their lives and needs. You are stable and persistent and can handle ambivalence. You should be able to express yourself well in speech and writing as communication and documentation are part of the job. You should have good collaboration skills but also be accustomed to working independently.
