About the job

Do you want to help make public information accessible and engaging for everyone? We are now looking for a creative and technically skilled graphic communicator. We are looking for someone with a current and relevant education in graphic communication, visual design, or equivalent, and who has a good understanding of trends, methods, and tools in digital communication. With us, you will work in a creative and engaged communications team that develops the Swedish Transport Agency's visual expression in digital channels.

As a graphic communicator, you will create clear, accessible, and target group-adapted communication for the web, intranet, social media, and other digital platforms. You will help visualize complex information in a simple and inspiring way – for the benefit of citizens, businesses, and society at large.

You will

  • design visual content for digital channels, e.g., web, social media, and intranet
  • produce moving images and graphics for use in internal and external channels, e.g., information films, animations, interviews, etc.
  • create infographics and visual concepts that explain and clarify complex information
  • ensure that graphic communication follows the Swedish Transport Agency's visual identity and accessibility requirements
  • collaborate with communicators, web editors, developers, and subject matter experts in various projects
  • participate in the development of the authority's digital communication and graphic profile.

You must have

  • current academic degree in graphic design and communication, film and media production, or another education that the employer considers relevant for the assignment
  • 1-2 years of relevant and current work experience in graphic design and digital communication
  • excellent knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud (especially Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign)
  • current experience in planning and producing graphic and moving material for digital channels, including web and social media
  • very good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both spoken and written.

It is meritorious if you also have

  • experience in infographics or animation
  • knowledge of accessibility (WCAG) and requirements for public communication
  • experience with content management systems (e.g., SiteVision, Episerver, or similar).

The employment is permanent with placement at one of the authority's operational locations in Norrköping, Örebro, or Borlänge. Appointment by agreement. We normally apply a probationary period. As an employee with us, there is an opportunity to work remotely up to three days a week. The needs of the operation and the nature of the tasks will determine whether and to what extent this is possible. An employment with us may involve placement in a security class. A security check with a background check according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) may therefore be conducted. For some of our tasks in the security class, Swedish citizenship is required.

The Swedish Transport Agency works to achieve good accessibility, high quality, safe, and environmentally friendly transport within rail, aviation, shipping, and road. We develop regulations, grant permits, and monitor compliance. With the help of our registers, we work with fees, permits, and ownership transfers.

We have employees in 12 locations across the country. The largest part of the operations is in Borlänge, Norrköping, and Örebro.
