Data Protection Coordinator

Are you passionate about data protection and personal data? Do you want to make a difference in an important societal function while developing in your professional role? Then you could be our next Data Protection Coordinator.

About the job

We are looking for someone who is passionate about data protection, information security, and information governance, who sees the details but does not lose sight of the big picture – and who thrives in a daily routine where you can think innovatively while standing firm in the law. You enjoy taking responsibility, collaborating with others, and translating complex regulations into clear and usable practices.

With us, you will become a key person in the development of the unit's data protection work, work with information security, and information governance – in an environment characterized by collaboration, flexibility, and societal benefit.

As a Data Protection Coordinator in the selection unit, you will play a central role in ensuring that our handling of information and personal data is legally secure, efficient, and future-proof. You will act as an advisor and driving force in matters related to GDPR, information security, information governance, and other data protection legislation.

Your tasks will also include:

  • making legal assessments regarding the processing of personal data and information security
  • contributing to building structures, routines, and documentation that enable correct handling
  • participating in development work regarding new systems and processes
  • collaborating with other parts of the Swedish Tax Agency on joint data protection issues.

The selection unit is responsible for providing both automated and manual selections to the operational departments based on decided priorities and in close collaboration with operational departments. The unit also includes the handling of the Swedish Tax Agency's tip function (TASS).

We offer a work environment where you drive the work both independently and together with others. You have a flexible working method that involves virtual contact with both colleagues and the operational business.

The selection unit is part of the Customer and Communications Department. We are a growing unit aiming to have 85 colleagues distributed across 4 sections. Possible locations for this position include Gävle, Gothenburg, Jönköping, Karlstad, Linköping, Luleå, Malmö, Sundbyberg, Uppsala, Västerås, Örebro, and Östersund.
