We are looking for a Scheduler for the Swedish Transport Administration based in Stockholm
- This is a consulting assignment.
- The position has a varying scope, between 0-50 percent during 2025, later transitioning to 100 percent in 2026.
- The assignment involves close collaboration with the client, which requires high flexibility and teamwork skills.
The Assignment
The Södertörn Link will become a 20 km free-flowing motorway with a separate pedestrian and bicycle path from Kungens Kurva, via Flemingsberg, to Jordbro. The Swedish Transport Administration is replacing the Vårby bridges and widening the E4/E20 road.
The assignment consists of the following:
- Resource consultant as a scheduler and administrator for the main schedule within the Södertörn Link program.
- Assist the projects within the program with coordination, advice, and expertise in scheduling.
- Transfer knowledge to employees at the Swedish Transport Administration regarding the tasks performed by the resource consultant for the Swedish Transport Administration.
- The Swedish Transport Administration provides a computer and workplace for the resource consultant at the Swedish Transport Administration's office initially in Solna/Sundbyberg and possibly later during the assignment at the program's office south of Stockholm.
Job Responsibilities
As a scheduler, you support the organization in steering towards agreed goals for the program's implementation. You are part of a functional group responsible for:
- Developing and maintaining the quality of work in scheduling.
- Clarifying, communicating, and maintaining the correct requirements for the program's schedules.
- Presenting decision-making materials and the current status to decision-makers.
- Training employees within the program.
- Updating instructions and developing routines for schedule work.
You drive active scheduling together with project managers in a selection of the program's projects with the aim of further sharpening the projects' ability to deliver according to agreed time, cost, and content. Job tasks in projects include:
- Continuous monitoring and updating of selected project schedules within the program.
- Advising and supporting the development of measures to limit the impact on controlling times.
- Reviewing schedules prepared by suppliers against program-wide requirements for schedule quality.
Requirements (IMPORTANT, mandatory)
- University education of at least 180 credits in engineering or economics, or other education that we assess as equivalent based on experience.
- At least five years of recent experience in scheduling complex projects with multiple interfaces and dependencies (as a consultant or employee) with a construction contractor or client of contracting activities.
- Good knowledge of scheduling software.
- Good knowledge of the Office suite.
- Good knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written form.
- Experience in scheduling within contracting activities for road or railway projects.
- Worked in a client organization for contracting projects over 500 million SEK.
