Registrar to the Social Services Office in Umeå Municipality

The elderly care in Umeå Municipality aims to be a resource that liberates and strengthens people's ability to live an independent life through proximity and interaction.

The Social Services Office manages the diary and committee administration for the social committees; the elderly committee and the individual and family committee, subcommittees, and collaborative bodies, and provides support to elected officials and respective management.

In the office, there are 4 committee secretaries and one registrar.

Our registrar is retiring in the fall, and we are looking for a replacement. Are you our new colleague in the office?

Your Responsibilities

As a registrar, you will primarily work with diary management, register maintenance, dispatching documents internally and externally, as well as handling requests for public documents.

You will also manage mail and other administrative tasks. You will support and respond to various inquiries from the public, officials, and politicians. You will direct questions appropriately within the organization and be responsible for developing and revising routines related to your tasks. You will also assist with minutes and meeting notes as needed.

About You

We are looking for someone with a university degree in social sciences or behavioral sciences. We also prefer that you have targeted administrative training/registrar training.

You have several years of experience in similar tasks and working within a public authority. You are accustomed to handling public documents and confidential documents.

We would also like you to have experience in municipal operations.

We seek someone who is structured, meticulous, flexible, and service-oriented. You are a problem solver who enjoys collaboration and have a good demeanor in all your contacts. You thrive in managing both unpredictable situations and regularly recurring tasks. Personal suitability is of great importance.
