Holmsund/Obbola are two archipelago communities with about 8500 inhabitants. They are located about 15 km from Umeå city center. Here you will find a school with classes from 1 to 9, a swimming pool, a sports hall, and several shops. Public transport is a good option for commuting to Umeå city center, the university, or the university hospital. Holmsund/Obbola health center is a natural choice for residents in need of care. The health center is part of the primary care unit Öst, Umeå, along with Ålidhems health center and the primary care emergency service.

We are now looking for a medical secretary/health administrator who wants to work at a small but familiar health center. Here we have a knowledgeable and experienced staff that together contributes to the development of working methods and safe patient care for our patients. We are a small unit with short decision-making paths and see teamwork as a success factor. The unit has around 40 employees, and your closest colleagues consist of both receptionists and medical secretaries. We are a pleasant workgroup that values a good work environment and the importance of having coffee breaks together when we can. We offer the opportunity to work some time remotely.

JOB DUTIES

As a medical secretary/health administrator with us, you provide important service and enable efforts that affect many.

The work is varied, currently including standard tasks such as medical documentation, referral registration, appointment booking, and telephone service. The role of medical secretary is currently under development with the introduction of a new medical record system, which means that tasks such as development work, schedule planning, and other various health administrative tasks may occur depending on interest and experience. You will be offered a varied job where you become an important part of our operations, and together we shape a work environment that feels stimulating and valuable.

QUALIFICATIONS

For this job, you need to be an educated medical secretary or health administrator.

You need to have good collaboration skills, enjoy being service-oriented, be able to work independently, and like to learn new things. You also need to be responsible, enjoy finding new ways of working, and have an approach that contributes to a holistic view that makes the care process better and safer.

It is an advantage if you have professional experience from primary care and are familiar with working in healthcare systems.
