The Psychiatric Clinic at Norrland University Hospital in Umeå is the largest psychiatric clinic in Norrland with over 400 employees. We have three general psychiatric wards, forensic psychiatric services, and several specialized outpatient and treatment units. The clinic strives for equal care for all and nursing based on research and clinical experience. The Psychiatric Clinic has moved to a newly built facility where the care environment is designed to promote health. The living and working environment is supported by modern technology and research, evident in the lighting and communication systems. The clinic is environmentally friendly with self-sufficiency in electricity and heating.

We are looking for a medical secretary for the Geriatric Psychiatry Clinic, which offers specialized psychiatric care for individuals over 60 years old. The clinic's team includes doctors, psychologists, nurses, counselors, caregivers, and medical secretaries. We collaborate daily with various stakeholders such as social services, primary care, insurance agencies, and the employment office.

Responsibilities

As a medical secretary with us, you provide important services that impact many individuals. Your role includes dictation, journal copying, scanning, scheduling appointments, managing waiting lists, and booking/calling patients for the clinic's doctors. Patient safety, accessibility, and communication are essential aspects of the clinic's work. Having good and efficient internal cooperation within the clinic and with neighboring healthcare providers is crucial for both patient and staff perspectives.

Qualifications

We are looking for a qualified medical secretary. Applicants who are not yet finished with their education but are on their way to completion are also welcome to apply. You have a strong service orientation, see opportunities, are flexible, and can take initiative. You prioritize and organize your work independently but also have good teamwork skills.

Other: Due to the suitability control law, a record of criminal convictions from the police must be presented upon employment.
