The Psychiatric Clinic at Norrlands University Hospital in Umeå is the largest psychiatric clinic in Norrland with over 400 employees. We have three psychiatric wards, forensic psychiatric services, and several specialized outpatient and treatment units. The Psychiatric Clinic works for equitable care for all and nursing based on research and clinical experience. The Psychiatric Clinic is located in a newly built facility where the care environment is characterized by the importance of the care environment in promoting health. The living and working environment is supported by modern technology and research, which is evident in the lighting and communication systems. The clinic is climate-smart through self-sufficiency in electricity and heating.

The Neuropsychiatric Reception offers specialized care for the neuropsychiatric target group. The reception has three main teams: ADHD, assessment and treatment group, and NPF team. The work is carried out by interdisciplinary teams where there is a good collaborative climate and open communication. Care is provided at two levels; ordinary outpatient treatment and intensive, outreach efforts from the entire team aimed at reversing deterioration periods and preventing the need for inpatient care. To provide the best care, we agree that staff must thrive, feel good, and develop in their workplace. We believe this is possible through a safe working environment with the right competencies. We offer good development opportunities through ongoing internal training and the possibility of specialist nurse training in psychiatric care through AST (Academic Specialist Training). The position is a daytime position on weekdays with flexibility. Our premises are new with bright modern furnishings. You have your own workstation equipped with a laptop, mobile phone, monitor, and keyboard.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a nurse with us, you contribute knowledge and commitment that makes people feel secure. You independently schedule patients for phone visits, digital visits, and in-person visits at the NPF team, with visits scheduled by secretaries in the ADHD team.

You perform psychiatric assessments, medication follow-ups, and provide treatment from a health and holistic perspective. You assess care levels and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team consisting of doctors, caregivers, nurses, social workers, psychologists, occupational therapists, and physiotherapists. Job responsibilities include medication follow-ups, injection administration, medication distribution, sample collection, as well as telephone advice and handling of 1177.se.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for a licensed nurse. Experience as a nurse, within psychiatry or specialist training in psychiatric care is preferred. You are confident in your professional role and have a good ethical approach. The work is independent and requires good pedagogical and organizational skills. Teamwork permeates the organization, which requires good collaboration skills. We place great emphasis on personal competencies.
