JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Together with regular staff, you create a safe and educational environment where every child becomes their best self. To promote children's development, you will be part of a work team and participate in various activities, games, and adventures both indoors and outdoors. You will support regular staff in carrying out teaching in such a way that the goals and intentions of the curriculum are met. This may involve developing and stimulating children's social skills, language, mathematical thinking, and environmental awareness by planning, implementing, and following up on activities based on the educational planning.

Communicating and having close collaboration with guardians is something you take responsibility for together with regular colleagues. You contribute to the organization's values and equal treatment plan and are a role model for children regarding human rights, gender equality, and respect for each other's differences.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for individuals with diverse experiences and backgrounds who are attracted to working with people. If you have a pedagogical education, it is an advantage, but not a requirement. We are also looking for those who may not have much experience yet, but who are engaged, responsible, and flexible.

You are good at collaborating with others and can adapt your working methods to changing circumstances and provide support where needed in the organization. In your work, you are a secure adult role model and enjoy being with children. You value differences and welcome innovative thinking and creativity. You perform your work in a trustworthy manner and have the ability to understand someone else's perspective. We place great importance on personal suitability.

OTHER

Education and labor market is one of the municipality's largest administrations with about 3,000 employees. Our operations are located throughout the municipality with about 35 primary schools, 87 preschools, 40 after-school centers, and four high schools. We work to ensure that children and young people have the tools they need to find their way in both the present and the future. We strive for a holistic view and a common thread in development and learning from preschool to high school. A growing adult education and a labor market unit focusing on those who need extra support are also part of the administration.
