Welcome to Sävar School

We welcome you to Sävar School, a school with three to four parallel classes ranging from grades F-9.

With approximately 750 students, the school is the largest primary school in Umeå municipality. Located centrally in Sävar, the school is close to sports halls, swimming pools, Sävarån, and the surrounding nature. The schoolyard offers a large outdoor play area with swings, climbing frames, football fields, (ice hockey rink in winter), and a multisport arena.

Your responsibilities

You will work as a resource person in primary school F-6. You will work with classes of students who have particularly great needs for extended care and/or an adapted learning environment. You will work closely with mentors, student health services, and leisure personnel to plan and conduct teaching that will enable a good learning environment for the student/students. You will work on a holiday service, meaning you will work at the leisure center during school weeks and school breaks.

About you

We are looking for someone with at least a high school diploma. We prefer if you are a trained teaching assistant, childcare worker, or have a behavioral science/educational background. You have experience working with children/students in need of extra care and/or special support.

You are a responsible and confident adult. As a person, you are solution-oriented and flexible, as well as good at collaborating and building relationships. You enjoy working with children in need of care and/or special support. In this recruitment, we place great emphasis on personal suitability.

We prefer if you attach a cover letter and CV, and if you have a teaching license, please attach it.

Due to the law on suitability checks, a record of criminal convictions from the police must be presented upon employment.
