Vacant position as teacher in crop cultivation at Forslundagymnasiet

Forslundagymnasiet is located in a beautiful rural environment only 5 km from the center of Umeå. The high school has about 130 students, a customized high school with about 30 students, and adult education programs in gardening, soil, and landscaping with approximately 80 students. The school operates its own modern farm, with around 60 dairy cows, calves, and a sheep herd. For crop cultivation, there are 170 hectares of arable land where everything is produced organically. The milk supplied by Forslunda to Norrmejerier is organic. The school also has a horse stable, a dog training hall, and an animal house with around 100 different species of small animals. The school also has a student dormitory.

Your responsibilities

Teaching in crop cultivation, soil, and plant biology. You will plan together with the farm manager in crop cultivation at Forslunda, as well as perform other tasks related to agriculture and agricultural high school.

You will be part of a team of teachers responsible for the education of our students. Together with your colleagues, you will be responsible for driving and developing the pedagogical work based on the curriculum and the goals of the organization, in collaboration with other staff in the organization.

About you

We are looking for someone who is educated as an agronomist in crop cultivation and has worked as an agronomist in crop cultivation. We prefer if you have a teaching degree with expertise in agricultural animals and experience in teaching students or other leadership roles in, for example, associations.

You have great collaborative skills and are solution-oriented. You have the ability to be in many different contexts, you see opportunities and enjoy when there is a lot happening around you.

We are looking for someone who wants to support and motivate our students in both their knowledge and personal development. You are someone who builds good relationships and feels comfortable teaching students. You are a team player who prioritizes dialogue and is meticulous and structured in your work.

The position requires a valid extract from the criminal records register.

This position requires a B driver's license.
