Native Language Teacher in Skellefteå Municipality

We are looking for dedicated native language teachers and study guides for teaching in Russian, Spanish, and Serbo-Croatian.

The extent of the position is determined by the number of students in each language and is currently hourly employments. Within the competence center unit, multilingualism, native language teaching and study guidance are conducted. The unit also works on developing distance learning in native languages.

Job Duties

Teaching is conducted with students in groups or individually at several of the municipality's school units. Work mainly takes place on site at the various schools in the municipality that have teaching in Russian, Spanish, and Serbo-Croatian. The teaching is scheduled and can take place both during the day and in the evening.

Qualifications

You have the ability to express yourself well in Swedish both verbally and in writing and have basic IT skills.

You have previous experience in teaching, and if you have a teaching license, we see it as a merit. You have the current language as your native language and master it fluently both verbally and in writing. You also have a good knowledge of the culture in the area where the language is spoken.

As a person, you are creative, positive, and driven to help students develop their native language. You enjoy working with children and young people and can build good relationships with students and guardians. You have a good ability to plan your work efficiently while actively contributing to teamwork with other native language teachers.

Education and the labor market are one of the municipality's largest administrations with approximately 3,000 employees. Our operations are located throughout the municipality with about 35 primary schools, 87 preschools, 40 leisure centers, and four upper secondary schools. We work to provide children and young people with the tools they need to navigate both the present and the future. We advocate for a holistic view and a common thread in development and learning from preschool to upper secondary school. A growing adult education and a labor market unit focusing on those who need extra support are also included in the administration.
