The Department of Children and Education in Vimmerby municipality is responsible for all educational activities, from preschool to university, and also oversees Swedish for immigrants (SFI) and community orientation for newcomers. Our common goal is for the children and youth of Vimmerby municipality to have the best conditions to meet the future and develop into creative, curious, and secure individuals.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a teacher in after-school care, you, together with your colleagues, are responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating the educational work at your workplace. You are well-versed in the after-school care curriculum and accustomed to working with the relevant goals and quality standards within the after-school care activities. You are a good role model and adhere to the norms and values set out in the curriculum, contributing to the implementation and fulfillment of the after-school care's mission with high quality. Your task is to promote each student's learning and development, as well as to create the best conditions for students, guardians, and colleagues to thrive and feel secure in the school's and after-school care's activities.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is a licensed teacher in after-school care or a trained leisure pedagogue. We would prefer if you have experience in similar work within after-school care.

As a person, we see that you are secure, stable, and positive. You are calm and attentive in your interactions, which helps you create good and trusting relationships with both students and adults. You find it easy to collaborate with others and work to create an open and unpretentious collaborative climate where innovation is encouraged and where everyone takes joint responsibility for achieving set goals.

You have a creative flair and are happy to contribute thoughts and ideas that you also implement in practice to develop both the daily work and the organization as a whole. In this work, you are also keen to create participation and engagement among both colleagues and students, encouraging others to dare to take initiatives, thus helping those around you to grow and develop. Furthermore, we see that you are a communicatively skilled person with the ability to convey information clearly but also pedagogically, adapting communication based on the recipient's needs and the current situation.
