Funkaboskolan is located just north of Kalmar city center and is one of the oldest schools in the city. The catchment area extends from Ölandsleden in the south to Krafslösa in the north. To the east, we border Kalmarsund and to the west, Norra vägen. Funkaboskolan is a K-9 school with about 850 students and 120 staff.
Funkaboskolan offers the following activities:
- After-school care
- Preschool class
- Elementary school grades 1-9

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Do you want to contribute to a safe, inclusive, and joyful school where all students have the opportunity to grow both socially and academically?
We are now looking for an engaged safety educator for Funkaboskolan grades 4-6.
As a safety educator, you work to create a positive, inclusive, and safe school environment. You are a present adult in the school's daily life, supporting students in social situations, building relationships, and preventing conflicts.
You work closely with teachers, student health, and school management to strengthen the school's safety work and contribute to a good working environment for both students and staff.
Your main responsibilities:
- Be a support for students in everyday life both individually and in groups.
- Work preventively against harassment, bullying, and exclusion.
- Participate in safety teams, recess activities, and social events.
- Contribute to the school's value base work.
- Document and follow up on safety measures.
- Collaborate with guardians and external actors as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone who:
- Is a qualified teacher in after-school care.
- Has a good ability to build trust and relationships.
- Is secure, responsive, and clear in your approach.
- Is passionate about children's and youth's development and well-being.
- Enjoys working both independently and in teams.
- Experience in school and after-school activities is an advantage.

Kalmar Municipality checks identity and work permits before anyone is hired. This means that you applying for a job with us need to show identification. If applicable, you may also need to present your residence and work permits.
As a permanent employee of Kalmar Municipality, you will be assigned to your workplace and are expected to contribute with your work during heightened readiness.
Some positions within Kalmar Municipality are classified for security, which means that a security review according to the Security Protection Act may be conducted before a hiring decision is made.
