Your role According to our educational framework, we work with the individual at the center. In the role of a teacher, you will plan, implement, and follow up on your teaching and students' learning. It is also important to create a close collaboration with the guardians of the students and other important people in the students' network. 

You will participate in continuous teacher meetings and student health meetings. You will take an active role and develop the operations together with the entire school's working team. 

About Kalmar Centrumskola  Kalmar Centrumskola is a resource school for students on the autism spectrum who need extraordinary support in school. The school accepts students from grades 5-9. The school has a high staff density and serves about 45 students.

As the school's name suggests, we are located in central Kalmar, at Norra Vägen 18. This means that there are good opportunities to get to work by bus or train.

The most important guiding principle of the operation is to create a clear and predictable structure and to provide space and time for relationship building, which are the fundamental prerequisites for giving our students and their guardians a positive view of school and learning opportunities. We work according to a stated low-arousal approach and response. We see the clarifying pedagogy and personal response as crucial tools for working with students' knowledge development and supporting them in social situations. We want to give our students a positive view of school and to work towards an environment characterized by cooperation, safety, respect, and trust. Here you will find a close-knit staff group with many years of experience with the target group.

Your experience and knowledge We are looking for someone with good knowledge of special education who can help students grow and learn. You have a teaching degree, preferably with a focus on special education, or experience working with children and adolescents with disabilities. As a person, you are structured, unpretentious, and flexible. You have a clear and low-arousal response. You have the ability to see students' different needs and strengths and to steer and follow up on operations based on the company's educational goals, vision, and financial frameworks.
