Nässjö parish is looking for a deacon with a leadership role, who is close to everyday life and enjoys meeting people of all ages.

Working with diaconal work in Nässjö parish is varied. For many years, Nässjö parish has built up a large diaconal work. A total of six people work with diaconal activities in the parish, ranging from youth to the elderly, individual conversations, meeting those in need of help, grief groups, and activities for the unemployed, among others - and we want you to be one of them.

You will be part of, and lead, a deacon group where you have one or more areas of responsibility, but can also work together throughout the parish. The diaconal work is carried out in collaboration with other deacon staff and other employees.

The main workplace is Nässjö.

We are looking for someone who:

• is an ordained deacon within the Church of Sweden or is in the final stages of your education
• has leadership experience
• is good at meeting and collaborating with people of all ages and has an ecumenical openness and enjoys everyday and relationship-building work
• wants to make the church accessible and present in people's daily lives
• has the desire to work in various types of diaconal work and would like to contribute to the parish's worship and prayer life
• is secure in your faith and is self-driven and creative
• is motivated and wants to develop the diaconal work in the city

Membership in the Church of Sweden is required. You have a B driver's license and access to your own car.

The position is a permanent position at 100%. Working hours will include daytime, evenings, and weekends. We place great emphasis on personal suitability and good collaboration skills. A probationary period may be applied. Start date according to agreement, preferably during the earlier part of autumn.
