Summer Interns in Energy Systems

Department of Energy Systems

The Department of Energy Systems is responsible for the regulation of electricity and gas network operations. We establish revenue frameworks for electricity and gas network companies and monitor that the networks are reliable, efficient, and meet the requirements placed on transmission. In our mission, we are responsible for supervision of delivery quality, efficient utilization of electricity networks, and technical conditions for demand flexibility. We are also responsible for supervision of measurement of electricity, natural gas, district heating, and district cooling, and work with the EU common commission regulations for electricity and gas. The Department of Energy Systems collects, quality assures, and analyzes economic and technical data from electricity and gas network companies. We also provide technical support to other departments at Ei.

Job Responsibilities

We are looking for two summer interns who are ongoing engineering students.

With us, you will have the opportunity to test your skills in practice and gain a rewarding and meaningful job. You will develop in the field and learn more about energy markets.

Every year, the Energy Markets Inspectorate collects a wealth of data from electricity, gas, and district heating companies. As a summer intern, you will play a central role in the review of this data. You will compile and analyze technical data reported by electricity network companies.

You will also be a contact person and provide support to companies regarding reporting, both via email and phone. The job is done in close collaboration with other summer interns, providing an opportunity to learn from each other. Additionally, you will receive support and guidance from our experienced colleagues.

For this summer internship, you are expected to work on-site at our office in Eskilstuna.

Qualifications

In this job, you should have:

  • an ongoing engineering education
  • completed at least two years of education with passing grades when employment begins
  • good proficiency in MS Office, primarily Excel
  • the ability to express yourself clearly in speech and writing in Swedish.

We see it as a positive if your education has an energy focus. It is also a plus if you have previous experience working with the review of technical data from electricity network companies.

  • are quality-conscious.
