Our current logistics analyst is going on parental leave, and we are now looking for a replacement who wants to work with us in the team for just over a year. The role is central to increasing insight and transparency in the logistics area – with the goal of creating even better service for our customers. Are you analytical, curious about improvement work, and enjoy driving development together with colleagues? Then this is the role for you!
Becoming part of the SSAB family means joining us on a journey. A journey that we believe is crucial for the planet's future and sustainability. Steel has been one of the most important materials for our societal development and will continue to be so in the future. In our homes, in bridges that connect our cities, and in tomorrow's cars. At SSAB, we are proud of our history and our leadership in high-strength steel. At the same time, we are aware that steel production is one of the industries that emits the most greenhouse gases in the world. This must change. We have therefore developed the world's first fossil-free process for steel production and have committed to becoming largely fossil-free. As part of SSAB, you will be important in realizing this goal and thus contribute to a green transition of the entire steel industry.
About the position
Supply Chain Europe within Special Steels is responsible for logistics from our production facility in Oxelösund as well as for the geographical logistics setup within Europe. This includes purchasing logistics services, warehousing, and planning/bookings of outgoing transports.
As a logistics analyst, you will work both strategically with our logistics network and closely with the operational transport planning team. You will analyze and visualize flows, assess the effects of changes, and provide decision support in various projects.
Your main responsibilities
- Analyze logistics flows focusing on volumes, costs, lead times, and delivery reliability.
- Work in the Logistics System to follow up and optimize our flows.
- Identify improvement potential and suggest actions.
- Support procurements and projects with fact-based analyses.
- Contribute to increased transparency and visibility in the logistics area through data-driven insights
- (Power BI is used as a visualization tool, but the emphasis is on analysis and development of logistics solutions).
About you
- We see that you have education in logistics, supply chain, or purchasing or equivalent experience.
- You have good analytical skills and enjoy working data-driven.
- You are curious about digital solutions and like to try new ways of working.
- You communicate well in Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing.
Our offer
At SSAB, diversity and inclusion are part of our culture. We use our values – driving, genuine, and one step ahead – in our daily decision-making, always with the customer in focus. This makes us all team players, with a common goal to improve ourselves. When you start at SSAB, you become part of an organization with passionate problem solvers who work together on important challenges. We will support your growth by offering a safe and friendly workplace that contributes to the balance between work and private life.
