Are you ready to develop and looking for a new challenge? Take the chance and work as a summer substitute in Product Development for Hot Rolled and Cold Rolled products. Product Development is in need of summer substitutes during the period of June-August 2026.

About the position
Product Development for Hot Rolled and Cold Rolled products is looking for two summer substitutes.
The purpose of the summer work is twofold:
1.Map the properties of the regular product in preparation for the upcoming transition to EAF in Oxelösund. The focus will be on Metallographic examination, which includes casting and polishing of samples followed by analysis such as LOM, SEM, hardness measurement.
2.Evaluate the sensitivity of different products to hydrogen. The work involves continuing to evaluate materials according to existing methods at KSC in Borlänge.
The following steps will be included:
-Write an activity plan with a testing matrix
-Perform testing
-Compile results
-Oral and written reporting
Working hours are daytime.
About you
- Ongoing university or college education in materials technology, metallurgy, or a similar technical field.
- Basic knowledge of metallography and material analysis (LOM, SEM, hardness measurement) is advantageous.
- Ability to work structured and independently with testing plans and documentation.
- Good analytical skills and interest in problem-solving.
- You have good knowledge of Swedish and English.
