Our client Sigma Industry in Eskilstuna now offers an exciting opportunity for you who want to work with product development and mechanical design for large customers in industries such as automotive and defense.

About the role

As a mechanical designer with us, you will work with product development and design, where CAD is one of your most important tools. You will collaborate closely with our clients' development and production teams to create solutions that work in practice. The tasks vary depending on the assignment, but what they have in common is that you will work with mechanical systems and components for industrial products, vehicles, and defense systems. You will have the opportunity to contribute throughout the process, from concept and design to finished product – together with cross-functional teams that include both Sigma consultants and the client's engineers.

Requirements

Technical post-secondary education, e.g., in mechanical engineering or similar
Some years of experience in mechanical design or product development
Good knowledge of one of the common CAD tools (Creo, Catia V5, SolidWorks, NX, or similar)
Swedish citizenship as the position may involve security classification
Ability to express yourself well in Swedish, both spoken and written, as the language is used in daily collaboration with our clients
You also communicate fluently in English

Meritorious

Experience in a similar role within the automotive industry, manufacturing industry, or defense sector
Understanding of manufacturing methods, drawing documentation, tolerances, and material selection
