About the Position
We are looking for an operator for the Measurement and Control Department who wants to work to ensure high and stable product quality. You will be an important part of the operation where accuracy, structure, and measurement competence are central. In this role, you will work closely with production and support both quality assurance, method development, and ongoing improvement work. You will work in a department with measurement technicians and other measurement operators.
Full-time work Monday - Thursday from 07:00 to 15:30, Friday from 07:00 to 15:00. Initial 6-month contract. Direct recruitment: Montico manages the recruitment on behalf of SKF Mekan in Katrineholm.
Job Description
As an operator in Measurement and Control, you are responsible for performing dimensional measurements, material analyses, and visual quality assessments according to established methods and requirements. You will also work with calibration and maintenance of measuring equipment and ensure that instructions and routines are current and followed.
You will support and train production staff in measurement and control methods and participate in investigations of deviations, complaints, and changes in production. The work also involves participating in improvement work to strengthen stability, precision, and quality in our processes. The role also includes developing and adjusting measurement programs and handling replacement equipment as needed.
We are looking for someone who
- Has a technical education at the high school level or equivalent experience.
- Has a good understanding of reading technical drawings.
- Has worked with measurement, testing, laboratory work, or similar technical tasks.
- Has previous experience working with Zeiss coordinate measuring machines (meritorious)
- Works meticulously, methodically, and has a clear quality focus.
- Has a good ability to read and interpret technical descriptions and requirements.
- Is analytical, solution-oriented, and confident in investigating deviations.
- Is service-oriented and pedagogical.
- Expresses themselves well in writing and can document work in both Swedish and English.
