The production engineering department in Trosa plays a crucial role in the development of the business where efforts are needed to increase digitalization, standardization, optimize our production system and find new solutions to reduce our environmental impact. The department works broadly within our entire flow and associated processes where workplace safety issues are in focus.

As a production engineer, you will be part of a small team consisting of a production engineering manager and two other production engineers. You will work with many internal contacts in Trosa but also collaborate in projects with our workshop in Österbymo and other factories, mainly in Europe. The role is broad and varied where no day is like the other. Here, your ability to find smart solutions will be put to the test.

Your responsibilities include, among other things:

• Driving improvement work aimed at streamlining production flows and systems
• Leading or participating in projects including investment projects
• Introducing new products and phasing out old ones, product preparation and costing, as well as maintaining master data.
• Interpreting information based on data, producing statistics, and creating strategies and processes based on analysis and statistics.

Examples of tasks:

• Studying and proposing investments and improved flows
• Using Lean principles and tools to optimize processes
• Optimizing & maintaining the business system within operations
• Initiating, administering, and following up change orders
• Prototype manufacturing & testing, time studies, and work instructions
• Identifying training needs, organizing, and conducting training efforts

We are looking for someone with a relevant university degree and some years of experience in production engineering work and accustomed to driving or participating in improvement work as well as handling large data sets. It is an advantage if you have worked with streamlining production and inventory flows as well as automation. Swedish and English in speech and writing are required for this role, as well as a good understanding of systems and good knowledge of Excel.
