Do you want to help create world-class shut-off valves?
Stafsjö Valves develops and manufactures high-performance slide valves for long-term operation in demanding industrial processes worldwide.
We are now looking for an engaged and curious colleague for our development department. Here you will have the opportunity to work with the entire product journey, from idea and concept to finished product.
In your role, you will use modern 3D CAD tools and FEM analyses to ensure that our valves maintain the highest quality. You will take on exciting and challenging projects that both develop you and strengthen our position as market leaders.
Your tasks will include:
- Developing valve products from concept to finished product.
- Driving and participating in projects with a focus on innovation and quality.
- Improvement work and standardization of products with modular systems.
- Contributing ideas that impact the development of new products and the company's success.
- Opportunity to take product responsibility for selected product groups.
With us, you will be part of a knowledgeable and committed team with broad experience. You will work both independently and collaboratively with colleagues, depending on the nature of the project.
Who are you?
We value that you have a solid understanding of product development and are comfortable working with CAD. You have experience in creating manufacturing drawings and conducting FEM analyses, and you thrive on translating theory into practical, sustainable solutions. If you also have knowledge in pneumatics, hydraulics, and flow technology, we see it as a clear plus. Experience with pressure vessels, valves, or pumps is also highly meritorious.
To succeed in this role, we believe that you not only understand the technical details but also the overall picture from early design choices to finished product. Your ability to see the entire manufacturing chain and optimize products based on total cost makes you a strong candidate with us.
You are a civil engineer or a bachelor's engineer who is either newly graduated and wants to seize the opportunity to grow or has a few years of experience from similar tasks. You have experience in construction and are a frequent user of 3D CAD programs.
You will have many points of contact within the projects, so your social skills are important. As a person, you are curious, meticulous, and have an easy time understanding different problems. You enjoy working in project form and have a strong interest in technology. A driver's license and good language skills in Swedish and English are required, as well as access to a car.
