Electrical Operations Manager & Electrical Maintenance Engineer

What you will achieve

In this role, you will hold two parallel roles, Electrical Operations Manager and Electrical Maintenance Engineer:

As an Electrical Operations Manager, you have delegated responsibility for ensuring that all electrical installations on site comply with applicable legal requirements and that all electrical work is carried out according to the regulations of the Swedish Electrical Safety Authority. You ensure that fixed installations and connected electrical equipment are safe and do not pose a risk to people or property.

  • Be responsible for ensuring that all electrical installation work follows high voltage regulations, electrical standards, and site safety policies, in accordance with the regulations of the Swedish Electrical Safety Authority.
  • Issue delegation for Electrical Operations Leaders in the electrical department.
  • Be responsible for the protection area for the site's electrical areas according to current protection area drawings.
  • Ensure that the electrical installation is kept in safe condition through ongoing and periodic inspections according to Swedish Standard SS-EN 50110-1.
  • Keep the Self-Monitoring Program updated and inform electricians about training requirements and qualifications.
  • Ensure that contractors receive instructions and guidelines for work in or near electrical installations, and that access to operational rooms is done according to established safety procedures.
  • Ensure that inspections are carried out before installations are energized and put into use, and that this is done according to applicable high voltage regulations, standards, and other regulations.
  • Be responsible for electrical revision inspections and be the site's contact person during global internal inspections in the electrical area, and participate in other inspections on site as needed.

In the role of Electrical Maintenance Engineer for the site's electrical installations, you manage and develop the site's electrical installations (maintenance and investment plan) to meet legal requirements and ensure a safe electrical installation with high technical availability and good economy.

  • Be responsible for the operation, maintenance, and development of the site's high & low voltage installations.
  • Establish and manage maintenance and investment plans.
  • Monitor the environment to ensure that we continuously develop and stay at the forefront within the area of responsibility.
  • Plan preventive maintenance for the electrical installation and be responsible for corrective actions.
  • Establish service agreements and be the contact person for service & maintenance providers in electrical matters.
  • Manage system documentation and drawings related to our electrical installations.
  • Be responsible for the site's requirements for projects related to high & low voltage installations and act as Subject Matter Expert for electrical installations within capital projects.
  • Be responsible for managing ARC-flash methodology and protective measures.

Your qualifications (minimum requirements)

  • Certificate from the Swedish Electrical Safety Authority: Authorization AL (minimum)
  • Several years of experience as an Electrical Installer for regulatory compliance
  • Several years of experience in electrical installation work and design of electrical installations
  • University education in the field or extensive experience in similar tasks
  • Several years of experience in maintenance operations
  • Ability to express oneself in Swedish and English, both orally and in writing

Desirable qualifications

  • Experience in coordination responsibility for a protection area
  • Experience in project management and the project management process
  • Experience in leading groups and other individuals
