Instructor/Aircraft Technician for the Aviation Program

Nyköping is developing, construction is booming, more people are choosing to move here, and our school organization is growing. We are now looking for an Instructor/Aircraft Technician for the aviation program at Nyköping Gymnasium Skavsta.

Nyköping Gymnasium is the largest high school in Nyköping. We offer eleven national programs - of which six are vocational programs, four different introductory programs, and special education. Over 280 people work with us to inspire and motivate, help and support our 1800 students to succeed in their studies based on their conditions.

RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for a creative, proactive, and service-oriented employee as an instructor/teacher who wants to help shape tomorrow's aircraft mechanics and technicians. The school is located adjacent to Stockholm Skavsta Airport in Nyköping.

All education is conducted according to the European aviation regulations Part 66 and Part 147 as well as the national curriculum (GY 25) and national syllabi. Teaching and quality work are carried out according to established routines in our training handbook MTOE (Maintenance Training Organisation Exposition). You will work with adult students in our YH programs as well as students in grades 1 to 3 at the high school level; therefore, it is advantageous if you have experience working with youth, but it is not a requirement.

In the training, students will work with the school's fleet of aircraft, which includes everything from smaller planes such as the Piper PA-28 to larger passenger aircraft like the SAAB 340 and SAAB 2000. The school's latest additions are two Cessna Citation II. Our training materials meet the requirements set by the Transport Agency, the National Agency for Education, and EASA. Your responsibilities will also include liaising with our industry partners and visiting students at their internship placements.

QUALIFICATIONS

You have an aviation technical education and have worked in aviation technical operations. You have good language skills, both in Swedish and English, and are willing to take responsibility for developing the work at Aviation Technical Training. We work in teams around the students, and collaboration is an important factor for high goal achievement.

It is advantageous if you:

• hold or have held an aircraft technician certificate Part 66, category B1 and/or B2, or equivalent
• have experience and interest in electrical and electronics
• have previous pedagogical experience
• have worked with youth
