For one of our clients, a leading global player in the energy sector, we are now looking for an Operational Buyer for an assignment at their site in Finspång. Thanks to high-tech and innovative product development, the company is an established partner in the energy sector that delivers advanced and sustainable solutions for the current and future needs of the market. Through this assignment, you will have the opportunity to work in an international and forward-thinking environment with many development opportunities. This is initially a consulting assignment for 12 months via Unik Resurs with a good chance of extension. We apply continuous selection, which means that the assignment may be filled earlier than the application deadline.

Responsibilities and Duties

As an operational buyer, you are responsible for procuring gas turbine components from external suppliers for internal customers. You will also develop your purchasing area to create a sustainable and efficient supply chain. In this role, you will:

• Ensure that orders and deliveries are made on time and according to agreements, in close collaboration with our strategic buyers.
• Have a strong focus on customer needs and work to solve problems both in the short and long term.
• Drive development within your work area by questioning and suggesting improvements.
• Communicate and manage deviations in the supply chain, which involves many contacts both internally and externally.

The work can sometimes be intense and requires flexibility, commitment, and the ability to handle varying workloads.

Your Main Responsibilities

• Management of purchase orders and invoices.
• Delivery monitoring and follow-up.
• Lead supplier meetings to ensure ongoing deliveries.
• Supplier development and material planning.
• Communicate and provide feedback to both customers and suppliers.
• Work with process and improvement development.

Your Profile

We are looking for someone who has:

• A degree in purchasing or logistics (e.g., economics, industrial economics).
• A driven and outgoing personality with good collaboration skills.
• An awareness of the importance of timely deliveries with the right quality.
• The ability to handle stress and high demands for flexibility without losing focus.
• A structured approach to solving problems and developing your area.
• An interest in challenging existing working methods and contributing to improvement work.
• Very good knowledge of English, both spoken and written.

Meritorious

It is an advantage if you have experience in purchasing work and good knowledge of SAP and Excel, especially in material and logistics management.
