We are looking for an operational buyer to join our purchasing organization within Special Mission & Regional Aircraft (SMRA). In the role of operational buyer, you will have a varied and developing job in an international and technically advanced environment, contributing to the success of the business.

As an operational buyer, you will work in a broad purchasing role with insight into the entire purchasing chain. You will be part of cross-functional supplier teams, where you, together with strategic purchasing, purchasing quality, and design, are responsible for ensuring long-term support for our projects, programs, and campaigns.

Special Mission and Regional Aircraft (SMRA), part of the Aeronautics business area within Saab, delivers advanced aircraft modifications, services, and integrated support solutions for cost-effective support of systems and platforms throughout their lifecycle. Our business unit's goal is to establish and support our customers' capability to operate and maintain world-class systems, such as GlobalEye, Saab 340, and 2000.

In the role of operational buyer, you will be responsible for:

• Ensuring the purchase of materials based on purchasing needs
• Creating purchase orders, monitoring deliveries, and managing invoices
• Taking an active role in improvement and development work within the purchasing function
• Handling export control issues
• Participating in supplier evaluations
• Identifying, developing, and securing the supplier base to meet the organization's future needs

This role entails overall responsibility from need to delivery, as well as follow-up and monitoring of our suppliers. You will play an important role in developing both large and small suppliers through collaboration, good dialogue, and supplier evaluation.

Your Profile

You have a couple of years of work experience in purchasing, preferably in a role as an operational/tactical buyer. You thrive in a daily environment where you can take responsibility, solve problems, and drive work forward. To succeed in this role, you are unpretentious, service-oriented, and responsible, with a positive attitude and good collaborative skills. You are confident in your communication and express yourself fluently in English, both verbally and in writing.

If you also have experience with the business system IFS and a technical interest or understanding, we consider this a merit.

The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to applicable security protection regulations. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may entail requirements for certain citizenship.
