Description

As an employee at Viken, you will be part of an engaged and positive workgroup of eleven people with varying experiences and ages.

The young people in the trial accommodation may have issues with drugs, mental health problems, neuropsychiatric disorders, and other factors that affect their daily lives.

Responsibilities

You will accompany the young person to meetings with various authorities. You will motivate the youth to follow through with their individual planning. You will discuss the various joys and sorrows of everyday life and other matters that may cause irritation and stress. You will support them in practical tasks such as laundry, cooking, and cleaning. You will work on behalf of social workers and the young person themselves.

Your responsibilities at Viken also include providing housing support to young adults living in their own apartments outside of Viken.

Employees at Viken work on a 5-week rolling schedule. Based on the schedule, you will work 2 weekends out of 5. Employees work either day or night. Daytime working hours are from 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM, and night shifts are from 8:30 PM to 8:30 AM.

During a summer temporary position at Viken, you will work as described above, either day or night.

We are also looking for on-call substitutes who can work as needed throughout the year.

Qualifications

You have a post-secondary education, e.g., treatment assistant, social pedagogue.

You have a genuine interest in the target group. You are curious, positive, and humble. You have patience and understand that life does not always go smoothly. You are calm and stable and prepared for potentially challenging situations in the accommodation.

A driver's license for a manual transmission is required.

Employment type: Summer temporary position, both day and night.

Scope: Full-time/part-time during the summer months.
