Personal assistance is an intervention according to LSS (the Act concerning Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments). As a personal assistant, you provide individual support and care to individuals who have been granted personal assistance because they need help with one or more basic needs. Each client is unique, and your tasks will vary based on the client's needs. You respect the client's self-determination and privacy, contributing to a smooth daily life.

About the position

The role of a personal assistant requires a high ability to create good relationships. Therefore, we are looking for someone who is attentive, engaged, and responsible. You who apply should be secure and calm but can also take your own initiatives and motivate the client to activities that suit her. The client enjoys routines and needs you to help her maintain them, but also to challenge her to try something new from time to time.

We are now looking for someone who meets the following criteria:

• wants to work with a 19-year-old girl living in Karlstad
• has good knowledge of Swedish
• has a driver's license and access to a car, to be able to get to the workplace

It is also advantageous if you:

• have experience working as a personal assistant
• have experience with autism
• have experience with epilepsy
• have experience with sign language support

Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

Working hours, employment rate, and salary:

The current employment form is "As long as the assistance assignment lasts" and the position is approximately 15%, with the possibility of increased working hours in the future. The position involves work during afternoons and evenings.

Fixed hourly wage according to agreement and other compensation is in accordance with collective agreements.

Start date

Immediately or according to agreement.

Being employed at Humana

A prerequisite for starting employment with us at Humana is that you can present valid ID and any documents that confirm your right to work in Sweden. To work as a personal assistant, you must be at least 18 years old.
