The Domestic Violence Unit is organizationally part of the Employment and Social Services Administration's Family Department. The Domestic Violence Unit includes Barnahus Värmland, Regional Coordinators against Prostitution and Human Trafficking in the Bergslagen Police Region, a Coordinator/Counselor against Sexual Exploitation, and the Threat and Violence Team.

Job Responsibilities

The role of the case supervisor involves primarily guiding and advising social workers in the Threat and Violence Team and a Coordinator/Counselor in their daily work. The team consists of 5 social workers.

The mission of the Threat and Violence Team is to investigate the needs for support and protection of adult victims of violence and to assess the needs of perpetrators for support. The authority's exercise of power occurs only within the framework of SoL.

You will have close collaboration with the unit manager and work strategically on the issue of violence in close relationships within the administration. The position also includes driving development issues at both the unit and department levels. As a case supervisor, you will participate in various types of collaboration forums, making cooperation skills and flexibility important abilities.

We also offer continuous opportunities for professional development in the field and have external supervision. This is an engaged workgroup and unit in constant change where we continuously learn new things and develop together.

Qualifications

Degree in Social Work
Driver's license for manual transmission
Solid experience in social services
Experience working with victims of violence as well as threat and risk assessments and experience as a team leader/case supervisor is an advantage.

You are stable, committed, and solution-oriented. You are skilled at structuring and coordinating work and express yourself well in both speech and writing. You should be comfortable being in the spotlight and able to present/inform about the operations to internal and external partners. The work places high demands on the ability to collaborate, be self-driven, and to take on different perspectives both at a detailed level and from a broader perspective. In addition to competence and experience, particular consideration will be given to complementing the group based on personal characteristics.
