Teaching Assistant Needed at Ängetskolan

Ängetskolan is a school located near the center of Örnsköldsvik, providing good connections between the school and local transport.

Our schoolyard is close to forest areas and beautiful walking paths. The school has approximately 460 students in grades 4-9, and we also share facilities with a special needs school. The school has a high teacher qualification rate and an experienced student health team that works closely with teachers and other school staff.

Job Responsibilities

We are looking for a caring and engaged teaching assistant who wants to help create an inclusive and safe school environment where all students have the opportunity to succeed. You will work closely with one or more students who need extra support, both in the classroom and during breaks, and collaborate with teachers and other staff. You will also have some medical tasks.

Your tasks will include supporting students in their learning and social development and creating structure and security in their daily lives. You should be a support in teaching situations and practical activities, collaborate with educators, student health, and guardians, and contribute to a positive and inclusive climate at the school.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with experience working with children/youth, preferably in a school or leisure setting. It is an advantage if you have training as a teaching assistant, childcare worker, or similar, as well as experience working with NPF. As a person, you have a good ability to build relationships and instill security, and you are calm, patient, and flexible.

By law, everyone working in activities with children under 18 years must present a valid extract from the police criminal record at the time of employment. Such an extract can be ordered from the police.
