Your new workplace:

Solede School is located in Kvissleby and belongs to the Nivrenaskolan F-9 organization. Approximately 140 students in grades F-5 attend the school. The school is situated in the residential area of Nolby, with a well-equipped schoolyard and proximity to ski trails, swimming pools, and ski slopes.

The school operates in two teams, F-5 and after-school care. We strive to ensure that students are well-prepared for the future. Therefore, we place a strong focus on both reading skills and a safe school day.

Job Responsibilities:

• Plan, implement, and evaluate teaching in Swedish as a second language based on the curriculum and students' needs.
• Lead and stimulate students' language development in speaking, reading, and writing with a focus on both everyday language and academic language.
• Map and follow up on students' language development (e.g., through Bygga svenska and other assessments).
• Collaborate with class teachers and subject teachers to develop language and knowledge-enhancing teaching in all subjects.
• Contribute to assessment, analysis, and follow-up of students' results.
• Collaborate with mother tongue teachers, study counselors, and student health teams.
• Actively contribute to the school's development work and to a safe, inclusive, and language-rich learning environment.

Your Competence and Experience:

We are looking for a licensed teacher with qualifications in Swedish as a second language for grades F-5. You have experience working with language development in the classroom and a good ability to map, assess, and analyze students' language development.

Experience as a teacher in Swedish as a second language and knowledge- and language-enhancing working methods is meritorious.

You are a clear and secure leader in the classroom who creates a conducive learning environment and sparks students' curiosity. You easily build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and guardians. Your working method is characterized by an inclusive approach where you see multilingualism as an asset.

As a person, you are flexible and solution-focused, with good collaboration skills and a desire to contribute to the school's collective development. You work selflessly and are happy to share your expertise in collegial learning.
